ATB Financial Selects CapitalStream FinanceCenter

CapitalStream Provides Real-Time, Automated Loan Processing Management for Premiere Small Business and Agriculture Financial Institution in Canada

SEATTLE, WA – September 10, 2003

CapitalStream®, a leader in front office automation solutions for commercial finance operations, today announced ATB Financial as its newest customer. A $13.2-billion, full-service financial institution, ATB is a leading western-Canadian financial services provider to small business and the agriculture industry. ATB will implement FinanceCenter™, CapitalStream’s flexible technology platform, within its loan processing services.

FinanceCenter will be used in the automatic renewal process on specific ATB loan products from origination through approval. Programs affected include term loans and revolving credit card products for agribusiness and small business customers. These tasks are currently processed manually on paper but will soon be entered into the FinanceCenter workflow system which will then pull up loans by expiration date, review and evaluate credit worthiness for renewal for another year, and approve or decline without any human intervention required.

"With a high 90 percent renewal rate, we truly need the cutting-edge features of the FinanceCenter financial platform to drive the loan process," stated Walker Rogers, general manager, credit operations, ATB Financial. "By transforming an all-paper workflow to a fully-automated system that starts at origination, we will have greater flexibility in the integration of the company’s business processes and rules related to loan and credit processing."

FinanceCenter provides business credit origination and workflow automation in a single solution that delivers real-time, collaborative decisioning, documentation management and workflow automation capabilities. CapitalStream’s end-to-end solution automates all business credit processes from quote, submittal, and schedule creation and maintenance, to the generation of a credit offering memorandum, credit approval process, and the uploading of funding information.

"ATB is our first implementation to Equifax and TransUnion products in Canada, giving us a broader reach and an impressive addition to our client list," said Kevin Riegelsberger, CapitalStream’s president and CEO. "With FinanceCenter, ATB is well-equipped to increase productivity, reduce risk, maintain existing headcount and increase customer saturation. Our front office automation platform will give ATB’s high-volume loan processing the boost it needs for greater efficiency and peace of mind."

By providing the tools to better manage credit risk, reduce costs, and attract new business by automating manual processes for leases, loans, cards and lines the CapitalStream FinanceCenter platform has enabled many financial services companies to continue to improve their customer’s experience and increase operating efficiencies.
