CapitalStream Joins Commerce One MarketSite Global Trading Portal Trade Zone Program

CapitalStream To Leverage Leading B2B Portal for Quick Access to New Markets through Commerce One Trade Zone Program

NET MARKET MAKERS CONFERENCE, Boston, May 15, 2000
- Capital Stream, Inc. (formerly System 1 Software), an e-commerce provider of services and tools for the business finance industry, today announced it has agreed to join the Commerce One Trade Zone program on the Commerce One MarketSite Global Trading Portal. As a result, CapitalStream can leverage its brand and gain access to new customers and business services on the portal. CapitalStream serves the entire financial supply chain with an end-to-end solution.

Said Stephen Campbell, president and CEO of CapitalStream, "Commerce One MarketSite is a leading portal site for B2B activity so it's the place to be for the emerging e-financing industry. As a result of our participation in Market Site's Trade Zones, we expect more financing companies to better grow and service their customers and those seeking business financing to have an easier time finding it."

With Commerce One MarketSite Trade Zones, CapitalStream expects to leverage its existing content, brand and services to a larger market, particularly its CapitalStream.com network, a hosted e-commerce service that makes the asset-based financing process easier and more efficient. MarketSite Global Trading Portal is a U.S. portal for exchanging goods and services in the extensive worldwide B2B trading community, the Commerce One Global Trading Web. CapitalStream.com services the entire financial supply chain, bringing both the supply sides and the demand sides of business financing together so that financing companies, vendors, manufacturers and B2B e-commerce firms can all work together within their existing relationships.

Said Roy Satterthwaite, vice president of Commerce One MarketSite Global Trading Portal, "To make Trade Zones as valuable as possible for businesses, we have continued to partner with companies in specific vertical markets. With more than 600 customers and $8.5 billion per year in annual transactions moving through CapitalStream solutions, we expect CapitalStream to be an excellent fit for our Trade Zone program."

MarketSite Trade Zone
Within the MarketSite Global Trading Portal, Trade Zones give CapitalStream an additional opportunity to enhance its e-commerce strength in a competitive industry. Commerce One Trade Zones are industry-specific, partner-branded and support content pages. Trade Zones provide suppliers and Net Market Makers with a new channel for marketing and distributing their products and services, while allowing buyers to select and purchase a broad array of goods and services from a variety of sources. CapitalStream expects to be able to make its services and content available to participating Global Trading Web hubs in North and South America, Asia Pacific, Europe the Middle East and Africa.
