CapitalStream, Experian Join Forces to Supply Business Finance Companies with Credit Information

Financial Content Further Increases Value of CapitalStream.com

Seattle - May 10, 2000
- Capital Stream, Inc. (formerly System 1 Software), an e-commerce provider of services and tools for the business finance industry, today announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Experian, a leading information solutions company. Under the terms of the agreement, Experian will make available business credit reports, credit risk scores and fraud management services to CapitalStream.com subscribers, who are financing companies, vendors, manufacturers and B2B e-commerce firms that supply or request sources of capital.

Said Stephen Campbell, president and CEO of CapitalStream, "Our partnership with Experian is a win-win for all concerned. Our customers gain access to information for managing their credit risks, from a world-class leader in credit decisioning and business information. It's a great start to a long-term relationship with a company offering best-of-breed financing products."

Access to Credit Management Information from CapitalStream.com
Through the Experian relationship, CapitalStream customers can access a variety of critical credit management information. Available now on CapitalStream.com are Experian's Business Profile, Commercial Intelliscore, Business Summary and Business Owner Profile, with more services to follow, including Small Business Intelliscore, Authoricheck fraud detection and hosted decisioning capabilities. These initial services comprise the key information needed when financing companies are analyzing a business's credit application. For example, a funding source or broker can better price a heavy equipment lease if it knows the applicant's credit history, or it can quickly accept or reject a credit risk.

With CapitalStream.com, financing companies can create personalized financing programs, automate credit screening and accept business credit at the point of sale. Lease originators have access to up-to-date application status, a real-time quote calculator, and the ability to easily submit applications online.

"This alliance brings together two industry leaders to provide financing companies, vendors, manufacturers and B2B e-commerce firms with the information they need to optimize the value of the Internet in the business finance industry," said Scott Bronstein, Experian's director of business information solutions. "Our partnership will allow CapitalStream to leverage Experian's industry-leading decision support engine and expertise from both the B2C and B2B information industries."
